At Boavista House (Casa da Boavista in Portuguese), the rehabilitation character has been pushed to the limit and the internal layout has remained with minor changes in order to adapt the house to the nowadays requirements. The Porto home won the João de Almada Award 2017 for 'Residential Buildings Category,' recognized for its preservation and function.

Built on a long, narrow lot, with four floors, two fronts and back garden, typical of early twentieth-century bourgeois Portugal. The structure was in a good state of conservation considering it was built in 1915, many of the ornamental features were important to preserve. Therefore, the rehabilitation character was pushed to the limit, with the option of preserving ceilings, floors, interior, and exterior carpentry, ceramic tiles, and some sanitary pieces.

Atelier in.vitro is a young, dynamic, and multidisciplinary architectural office, created by Joana Leandro Vasconcelos in 2007.
